Avenue of Flags
The “Avenue of Flags” program allows our Forsyth-Cumming Optimist Club to fund and support our community through this wonderfully patriotic service project.
For an annual subscription payment of $55, our volunteers will place a flag in front of your home or business over five (5) annual federal holidays. Proceeds from this fundraiser support local nonprofits, scouting organizations, community programs, student scholarships, and other worthy causes.
* We accept new subscriber applications year-round. However, new applications received within 30 days of the immediate upcoming holiday will begin receiving their flag placement on the holiday following the upcoming holiday, for a prorated amount equal to $11 per remaining holiday.
2026 “Avenue of Flags” Holiday Schedule:
- President’s Day – February 16, 2026
- Memorial Day – May 25, 2026
- Independence Day – July 4, 2026
- Labor Day through 9/11 Day of Remembrance – September 2026
- Veteran’s Day – November 11, 2026
Please Note that this program is a fundraiser for for civic, non-profit, and scouting organizations,
and all flags are installed and serviced by volunteers.
