The Forsyth-Cumming Optimist Club is proud to partner with local scouting organizations in the distribution of flags for our Avenue of Flags program.

In exchange for the Scout members’ assistance in delivering and picking up the flags for our Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day and Presidents Day national holidays, our Club supports participating troops by sharing a portion of the proceeds from the flag program with them. Scouting organizations embody our motto “Bringing out the best in our youth, our communities, and ourselves” by instilling in their scouts the values of responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance.

We get assistance with the flag program; the Scouts get funds for their Scouting activities.  It’s a win-win situation!

The troops currently participating in this program are Troop 39, Troop 62, Troop 78, Explorers 740, Pack 62, and Troop 1331 AHG.
