Congratulations to Michael Wacho, January’s Student of the Month. Michael is a senior at Lakeview Academy in Gainesville where he has made Director’s List (Honor Roll) every year. Michael is an Eagle Scout as well as a member of the school’s Senior Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta Society, History Honors Society and the Eco Club.

Michael is one of the top competitive swimmers in Georgia, swimming 38 hours a week and has competed with Olympic swimmers.

Michael has been offered academic scholarships to Arizona State University, University of Arizona and University of Tampa. He has also been accepted to Florida Atlantic University and University of South Carolina and will hear about scholarship awards this spring.

Michael plans on majoring in International Business and Spanish.
